  • La Rambla is a colorful pedestrian avenue running 1 km from Plaza Cataluña down to the sea. Stroll past flower kiosks, street artists and the famous La Boquería market.
  • While the language of Barcelona is Catalan, most everyone speaks Spanish and many English. To be polite, you could start with "Perdoni, no parlo Català".
  • In summer 2025, Spanish operator Renfe will run high-speed trains between Barcelona and Toulouse, France in 3.5 hours. Stops include Perpignan, Carcassonne, Girona.
  • From Barcelona airport, take "Aerobus" to Plaça de Catalunya or Plaça España (2 large plazas and hubs) or Plaza Universitat or Gran Vía-Urgell in 35 minutes for 7.25 €. Can book online. Public bus #46 is cheaper but slower and less frequent. When returning, Aerobus A1 takes you to Terminal 1, while Aerobus A2 goes to Terminal 2.
  • Barcelona boasts 3 convention centers: Barcelona International Convention Centre (Centro de Convenciones Int'l de Barcelona = CCIB, the largest, on northern beachfront) ...
